    According to a recent survey, only one-third of Americans have a budget -- leaving many households living paycheck to paycheck.



    We want to help get you get out of that rut. So we published an article on the simple to apply 50-30-20 budgeting rules. These rules are designed to be simple to apply, and still help you know where and how much you should be spending on your essentials, your savings, and your "fun".

    Do you have any budgeting software to recommend to go with it?

    Pretty good tips.

    Do you use anything to track your expenses.

    I use Mint, mostly because it is easy and free. But I hear good things about Personal Capital, Quicken, and YNAB too.

    This was extremely helpful;. Wish I'd seen it earlier. But I'm planning in implementing ASAP.
