I can't emphasizing enough to plan and budget.

This helps us not only save on everything (buying in bulk, buying on sale), but stops us from many of those spur of the knot $10 and $20 purchases that add up to so many thousands of dollars over the course of the year.

    Spend less on Christmas presents.

    Okay. Definitely funny.

Buts let's also see what you'll do to spend less in 2017 after you're done stealing Christmas. 🤔

I am due a raise this year. My plan is not to spend that money or my tax refund check. Not so much spending less - but not expanding spending with income must still count for something.

I added the Honey browser extension. It gives you coupon codes and finds the lowest prices on items you are looking at, without needing to leave the site or search the web. You will save money you did not even know could be saved.

Inspired by what others on this forum have "earned" or "saved" from their credit card usage, I am going to take out better credit cards in 2017. And earn more rewards on my regular spending. Which looks like a much better way to save than trying to spend less and earn more interest.

I've been seeing honey show up a lot in my fb feed. But it may not be for me. they keep emphasizing how its really for millennials to save money with.
