    Turned Down for CSR Card

It looks like the fabled 5/24 rule is real. I was turned down for the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card.

I am protesting. I am a good customer of Chase for almost 10 years now. I have a bank account there. I had two other Chase card - which I now cancelled.

Hopefully, Chase will reconsider so I can go on with my normal banking. Otherwise, my checking account will be moving as well.

It looks like are your card hacking has caught up with you. Still, I wish you luck with the review.

So the 5-24 rule is real. I thought it was urban legend. That Chase encouraged some prominent sites to put it out there to try to discourage card hackers.

    Guess I was wrong.

I'm interested to see if they overturn their denial.

I have not heard anything back from Chase. Sadly, I may be missing out on the best bonus opportunity ever. All because I spent too much time going after too many low hanging fruits.

Knowing that Chase is choosy makes me wavy this card even more.

I am thinking very hard about applying. Though I may run afoul of Chases's 5/24 rule. Not sure if I will go over the line. And no one likes rejection.

So I've been into my local chase branch. Spoken with reps on the phone. And they will not change their decision.

This leads me to conclude a couple things. One, the 5/24 rule is real. And there are some natural limits to card hacking.

    Oh well.

Do you have enough assets to join their private client group? If you could do that, I'm sure Chase would find a reason to issue you the Reserve card.

That is a great idea. Can you pull this off, LAThinker?
