Citi Simplicity Mastercard: Is it the Best Balance Transfer Card?

    Here are some details:

0% Intro APR on Balance Transfers and Purchases for 21 months (almost 2 years !!!). Once that expires, the variable APR switches to 12.99% - 22.99% based on your credit record.
A balance transfer fee of $5 or 3% of the transferred amount, whichever is more will apply.
More benefits: There are No Late fees Ever, No Penalty rate, and No annual fees

Don't apply unless you have excellent credit. If you insist and try to explain your way through it, it will be futile as you get scripted responses. Keep in mind that a pre-approval for a credit card is should not be construed as a guarantee of approval.

21 months is har dot beat but the Chase Slate card. There are no balance transfer fee if you transfer a balance within the first 60 days. They offer 0% Intro APR for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 12.99% - 22.99% Variable.

And there is the Citi Diamond Preferred Card similar to the Simplicity with no annual fee. The difference is the rate is usually 1% less than the Simplicity so excellent credit is needed.

Following that are the Capital One and Discover IT cards which have 15 month balance transfeer cards.

    - You can also earn a $100 bonus once you spend $500 on purchases in your first 90 days from when you opened the account.

I like the no annual feel and no late fees. The balance transfer is an exceptionally attractive feature.
